Welcome to “It’s what I feel like eating.” I love to cook and I love to share that with friends and family. People are always asking me for my recipes, so I decided to start this blog. I am not a chef, I am a home cook. I often take a recipe and make it mine by changing it up with what I have on hand. I don’t always measure (but ask me and I’ll help you out). I use good ingredients like real butter, fruits and vegetables from the Farmer’s Market or from my own garden. I believe that even if you think all you can do is boil water or use a microwave, you can do much better than you imagine. Two rules to good cooking – don’t be intimidated and have all your ingredients ready and waiting. My recipes can be tailored to your family’s needs, whether you are cooking for one or a whole family. So think about what you feel like eating and start cooking!
I hope you join me as I experiment in my kitchen at Myrtle Hill and share my recipes. Salty & Peppy say, “If you can boil water, you can make a meal.”
